Red Hat Product Errata RHEA-2015:0213 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE rhevm-appliance bug fix and enhancement update 2015-02-12 01:34:24 UTC

Description james labocki 2013-11-12 14:02:15 UTC
This is a RFE to provide RHEV-M as a virtual appliance deployable on RHEL/KVM, RHEV, vSphere, or RHELOSP. This will allow users to gain access to RHEV-M faster who have no knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, RHN, channels, etc.

Comment 1 Itamar Heim 2013-11-12 17:25:13 UTC
lets start with a kvm based one for virsh and hosted engine...

Comment 3 Sandro Bonazzola 2014-07-22 12:16:54 UTC
assigning to fabian, assignee of the upstream bug, and node whiteboard

Comment 6 Fabian Deutsch 2014-09-05 13:20:27 UTC
Inside the appliance run:

$ rhevm-setup --offline --append-config=rhevm-setup-answers

or if registered with RHN/SAM:

$ rhevm-setup --append-config=rhevm-setup-answers

Comment 7 Eyal Edri 2014-09-10 20:21:56 UTC

Hey,

the assistant is shown on the serial console. We might want to change that.

If possible change your display to the serial console to complete the firstboot assistant.

Comment 15 Petr Kubica 2014-10-24 16:19:27 UTC
Ok, thank you.

I have another problem..
It give me an error:

[root@localhost ~]# rhevm-setup --offline --append-config=rhevm-setup-answers
FATAL: Invalid option '--append-config=rhevm-setup-answers'
[root@localhost ~]# ls
rhevm-setup-answers

Comment 16 Fabian Deutsch 2014-10-24 17:39:18 UTC
Actually tzhe other way round:

$ rhevm-setup --offline --config-append=rhevm-setup-answers

$ rhevm-setup --help

Comment 17 Petr Kubica 2014-10-27 14:36:50 UTC
Verified in rhevm-appliance-20141006.0-1
Successfully installed rhevm 3.5.0-0.13.beta.el6ev with command
