Red Hat Product Errata RHBA-2012:1134 0 normal SHIPPED_LIVE symlinks bug fix update 2012-08-01 17:21:23 UTC

Description Robert Nichols 2010-03-31 18:47:17 UTC
Description of problem:
The 32-bit symlinks utility reports an error on links to files larger than 2GB. The days of utilities that can't handle large files should be long passed.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
symlinks-1.2-24.2.2.i386

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a symlink to a file that is larger than 2GB.
2. Run the symlinks utility on the directory containing the link.

Actual results:
dangling: /tmp/biglink -> bigfile
/tmp/bigfile: Value too large for defined data type

Expected results:
No error.
