Description of problem: Current hwdata-0.213.28-1.el5 version has no "Sandy Bridge" IDs. It seems they've been removed by upstream but we added them in the last RHEL-5 version thus it's a regression. (The old package - hwdata-0.213.26-1.el5 - is OK.) Test log: ========= $ make - SNIP - :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :: [ LOG ] :: Test :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :: [ FAIL ] :: Running 'grep '3c41.*Sandy Bridge QPI Port 0 Performance Monitor' /usr/share/hwdata/pci.ids' (Expected 0, got 1) :: [ FAIL ] :: Running 'grep '3c42.*Sandy Bridge QPI Port 1 Performance Monitor' /usr/share/hwdata/pci.ids' (Expected 0, got 1) :: [ FAIL ] :: Running 'grep '3c86.*Sandy Bridge QPI Port 0 DFX Link' /usr/share/hwdata/pci.ids' (Expected 0, got 1) :: [ FAIL ] :: Running 'grep '3c96.*Sandy Bridge QPI Port 1 DFX Link' /usr/share/hwdata/pci.ids' (Expected 0, got 1) :: [ LOG ] :: Duration: 1s :: [ LOG ] :: Assertions: 0 good, 4 bad :: [ FAIL ] :: RESULT: Test - SNIP - $ grep 'Sandy Bridge' /usr/share/hwdata/pci.ids ; echo $? 1 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): hwdata-0.213.28-1.el5 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run the automated test: /CoreOS/hwdata/Regression/bz720938-intel-sandy-bridge-support Actual results: FAIL Expected results: PASS Additional info: There is no problem to respin it from QA point of view, re-testing is quite fast.
Filled in a "Fixed In Version" to refer to a build, where those ids are no longer present.
