Fixed In Version xorg-x11-server-utils-7.7-2.el7
Doc Text The xrdb utility manages the X11 resource database. Traditionally this utility would invoke the C preprocessor to expand resource files before further operations. In RHEL7 this feature is disabled by default, so as to not require the cpp package on typical desktops. If you need compatibility with the historical behaviour, install cpp and explicitly pass it to xrdb with the -cpp option.

Bara Ancincova 2014-05-28 13:17:58 UTC Doc Text The xrdb utility manages the X11 resource database. The xrdb utility manages the X server resource database. Traditionally, the utility invokes the C preprocessor, which is provided by the cpp package, to expand resource files before further operations. However, this feature is disabled by default in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 because in most cases, the C preprocessor is not needed. To preserve previous behavior, install cpp and execute xrbd with the "-cpp" option.
