| Eric Harney | 2013-12-09 13:50:11 UTC | Doc Text | Cause: Bug in Cinder GlusterFS volume driver Consequence: Files backing cloned volumes may not have been created with the correct permissions, resulting in failures for subsequent operations on cloned volumes Fix: Patch Cinder GlusterFS driver: Set the permissions on the backing file correctly when cloning a volume Result: Operations such as extend now work as expected on a volume created as a clone of another volume | |

| Doc Text | Cause: Bug in Cinder GlusterFS volume driver Consequence: Files backing cloned volumes may not have been created with the correct permissions, resulting in failures for subsequent operations on cloned volumes Fix: Patch Cinder GlusterFS driver: Set the permissions on the backing file correctly when cloning a volume Result: Operations such as extend now work as expected on a volume created as a clone of another volume | When cloning volumes, the GlusterFS volume driver used by the Block Storage service did not set the correct permissions for volume files. This caused subsequent operations on these cloned volumes to fail. With this fix, the GlusterFS volume driver now sets the correct permissions when cloning a volume. |
