| Tomáš Hozza | 2015-06-01 11:06:26 UTC | Doc Text | Cause: Previously the BIND server default configuration used DLV (DNSSEC Look-aside Validation) registry provided by ISC (Internet Systems Consortium). The DLV registry was used in the early stages of DNSSEC adaptation ans is not needed any more. Therefore ISC decided to deprecate the service in the near future. Consequence: As a consequence, the BIND server would execute unnecessary steps for some DNS records when trying to validate them using the DLV registry. Fix: The use of DLV registry was removed from the BIND server default configuration. Result: As a result, the default configuration is prepared for DLV registry deprecation. Also BIND server will not try to perform DNS records validation using DLV registry. |
