Consequence: The time on overcloud controllers may become out of sync. Workaround (if any): Delete the file /usr/libexec/os-apply-config/templates/etc/ntp.conf from all three overcloud controller nodes, then re-run the deployment command to re-apply the puppet configuration (the overcloud should _not_ be deleted prior to re-running deployment). This will be required for anyone updating from an older version of OSP to 7.3. It should not be necessary on new 7.3 deploys using the 7.3 images. Result: NTP will be configured correctly. | |

This caused time synchronization issues across all Overcloud nodes. As a workaround, delete /usr/libexec/os-apply-config/templates/etc/ntp.conf from all Overcloud nodes and re-run the deployment command to re-apply the puppet configuration. This is required for users updating from an older version of Red Hat OpenStack Platform to 7.3. This fix is not necessary on new 7.3 deployments. NTP now configures correctly. | ||
