Doc Text Cause: Issuing the "openstack stack delete" command shortly after beginning a deployment may cause nodes to remain in DEPLOYING state, rather than being delted.

Consequence: If any nodes are in state DEPLOYING when the stack is deleted, Ironic will not delete the nodes. You must delete the nodes using "nova delete <node>" for the affected nodes.

Workaround (if any): Either delete the stack after all nodes have moved past the DEPLOYING stage, or delete the nodes by hand when deleting the stack.

Result: If the stack is deleted while nodes are in DEPLOYING state, additional manual intervention is required to delete the stack.

When you enter the `openstack stack delete` command while the nodes are still being deployed, it is possible that they remain in that being-deployed state and will not be deleted. Consequently, you will not be able to deploy any new nodes onto the space, blocked by the undeleted nodes. To avoid this situation, wait until all the nodes have been deployed completely, before entering the `openstack stack delete` command. Alternatively, you can manually delete the nodes with the `nova delete <node>` command.
