| Michal Privoznik | 2016-10-06 11:53:47 UTC | Doc Text | Feature: Teach libvirt to set virtio ring size. Reason: Virtio devices have this so called ring which is a buffer for guest <-> QEMU data transfer. Being able to tune the size of this buffer is important for better performance of data transfer. Unfortunately, libvirt hasn't allowed that until now. Result: New attribute for interface's <driver/> has been introduced: <driver rx_queue_size='512'/> With this configuration knob, users can adjust the size of virtio ring buffer on per-domain basis. | |

To do this, change the value of the <driver rx_queue_size='N'/> parameter in the guest's domain XML file, where N can be from 256 to 1024. | ||
