| Michael Bayer | 2016-09-30 18:00:40 UTC | Doc Text | Cause: RHEL-7.3 has changed the return format of the "systemctl is-enabled" command as consumed by shell scripts. the mariadb-galera RPM package, upon installation, erroneously detects that the mariadb service is enabled when it isn't. Consequence: the RHOS installer which wants to run mariadb-galera via pacemaker, not systemd, fails to start galera. Fix: The installation scripts within the mariadb-galera rpm have been adjusted to call upon a different systemctl command. Result: the default mariadb is correctly detected as not enabled and the installer can proceed. | |

| Summer Long | 2016-10-03 23:48:26 UTC | Doc Text | Cause: RHEL-7.3 has changed the return format of the "systemctl is-enabled" command as consumed by shell scripts. the mariadb-galera RPM package, upon installation, erroneously detects that the mariadb service is enabled when it isn't. | Because RHEL-7.3 changed the return format of the "systemctl is-enabled" command as consumed by shell scripts, the mariadb-galera RPM package, upon installation, erroneously detected that the MariaDB service was enabled when it was not. As a result, the RHOS installer, which then tried to run mariadb-galera using Pacemaker and not systemd, failed to start Galera. With this update, mariadb-galera's RPM installation scripts now use a different systemctl command, correctly detecting the default MariaDB as disabled, and the installer can succeed. |
