| David Kaspar // Dee'Kej | 2018-03-07 18:23:46 UTC | Doc Text | Previously it was possible for bridge device to not be able to obtain IP address from DHCP server right after the system start, because the ifup-eth didn't wait for STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) to complete its startup. An enhancement has been been applied, and ifup-eth should now wait long enough for STP to finish its startup. | |

| Petr Bokoc | 2018-03-22 16:42:39 UTC | Doc Text | Previously it was possible for bridge device to not be able to obtain IP address from DHCP server right after the system start, because the ifup-eth didn't wait for STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) to complete its startup. An enhancement has been been applied, and ifup-eth should now wait long enough for STP to finish its startup. | Bridge devices no longer fail to obtain an IP address Previously, bridge devices sometimes failed to obtain an IP address from the DHCP server immediately after system startup. This was caused by a race condition where the "ifup-eth" script did not wait for the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) to complete its startup. This bug has been fixed by adding a delay that causes "ifup-eth" to wait long enough for STP to finish starting. |
