| Doc Text | Cause: When trying to hotplug vhostuser interface to a guest, due to a defect in our code libvirt was using wrong set of command on qemu monitor, e.g. we completely ignored that vhostuser needs a chardev too. Consequence: The hotplug of vhostuser was failing all the time rendering the feature unusable. Fix: The hotplug code for vhostuser devices was reworked. Result: The hotplug now succeeds without any problem. Well, except for a multiqueue vhostuser devices which is covered in bug 1386976. | |||

As a consequence, the hot plug of the vhost-user interface failed. This update corrects the hot-plug code for vhost-user devices. As a result, the hotplug now succeeds as expected. | ||
