| Doc Text | Cause: Upgrade from 1.3 to 2.0 with multisite and a different rgw region root pool Consequence: Upgrade fails and radosgw cannot start Workaround (if any): Add "rgw zonegroup root pool" to ceph.conf with the value of "rgw region root pool" Result: Upgrade succefull | An attempt to upgrade a single zone configuration of the Ceph Object Gateway from 1.3 to 2 fails if the Gateway uses different values for the `rgw_region_root_pool` and `rgw_zonw_root_pool` parameters. In addition, upgrading also fails for federated configurations if the `rgw_region_root_pool` parameter uses different values. As a consequence, the `radosgw` service does not start after the failed upgrade. To work around this issue in federated configurations, add the `rgw_zonegroup_root_pool` parameter to the Ceph configuration file and set its value to be the same as the value of `rgw region root pool`. In addition set the `rgw_realm_root_pool` and `rgw_period_root_pool` parameters. To work around this issue in single zone configurations, TBA.
