Carlos O'Donell 2020-01-07 20:12:52 UTC Doc Text The dynamic loader is enhanced to provide a non-inheriting library preloading mechansim. The loader can now be invoked to load a user program with a --preload option followed by a colon-seperated list of libraries to preload. This feature allows users to invoke their programs through the loader with a non-inheriting library preload list. Previously customers had to use the LD_PRELOAD environment variable which was inherited by all child processes through their environment. Now users can invoke their program directly through the loader and use --preload to load libraries that will only be loaded for the first process invoked i.e. non-inheriting library preload.

With this enhancement, the loader can now be invoked to load a user program with a `--preload` option followed by a colon-separated list of libraries to preload. This feature allows users to invoke their programs directly through the loader with a non-inheriting library preload list.

Previously, users had to use the LD_PRELOAD environment variable which was inherited by all child processes through their environment.
