| Doc Text | Cause: An erroneous internal software setting was preventing older Ceph clients from connecting to the cluster if stretch mode was engaged. Consequence: Kernel clients and older client libraries would fail to mount Ceph if the admin engaged stretch mode, with an error message similar to "problem decoding monmap, -22". Fix: We fixed the internal software setting to allow older clients to connect. Result: Cluster deployments requiring stretch mode again properly allow kernel clients and older Ceph client libraries to connect. |
