| Doc Text | .Referral modes in Directory Server do not work Due to bugs, both the global and per-suffix referral mode do not work in Directory Server: * If you start the `ns-slapd` process with the `refer` option as the `dirsrv` user, Directory Server ignores the port settings and terminates unexpectedly. Trying to run the process as the `root` user changes SELinux labels and prevents the service to start in future in normal mode. * If you want to configure a referral for a suffix, the `dsconf backend suffix set` command does not accept the backend name as a parameter. Additionally, updating the state fails. There are no workarounds available. | |||
