| Doc Text | Feature: Better error handling if users pass a daemon name to "ceph orch restart" which is expecting a service name. Reason: In certain cases, specifically if the daemon passed to "ceph orch restart" was an haproxy or keepalived daemon, the command would return a traceback. This made it unclear to users if they had made a mistake or cephadm had failed in some other way. Result: If a user passes something to "ceph orch restart" that cephadm doesn't know as one of it's services, cephadm will report that and tell the user to check "ceph orch ls" for valid services to pass. This should make it more clear to users that "ceph orch restart" is expecting a service name, as "ceph orch ls" reports services rather than daemons. |
