Nizamudeen 2022-08-01 09:51:52 UTC Doc Type If docs needed, set a value Bug Fix
Doc Text Cause:

1. In clusters with multi-path storage devices, if you select a disk in the Physical Disks page, it'll select multiple disks and starts incrementing the selection count of the table until the table stops responding within a minute.

2. The Device Health page shows error while fetching the SMART data.

3. Services column in the Hosts page shows a lot of entries and reduces the readability if there are a lot of entries.

Consequence: Some of the issues mentioned above causes the dashboard unusable when tested with multipath storage clusters.

Fix:

1. Fixed the said issue.

2. Added the option to fetch the scsi devices SMART data.

3. Improved the Services column by renaming it into Service Instances and show just the name and the number of instances of that service is available inside a badge.

Result: Improved the UI

.Ceph Dashboard improved user interface

Previously, the following issues were identified in the Ceph Dashboard user interface, causing it to be unusable when tested with multi-path storage clusters:
- In clusters, with multi-path storage devices, if a disk was selected in the _Physical Disks_ page, multiple disks would be selected and the selection count of the table would start incrementing, until the table stopped responding within a minute.
- The _Device Health_ page showed errors while fetching the SMART data.
- _Services_ column in the _Hosts_ page showed a lot of entries, thereby reducing readability.

With this release, the following fixes are implemented, resulting in improved user interface:
- Fixed the disk selection issue in the _Physical Disks_ page.
- An option to fetch the scsi devices SMART data is added.
- _Services_ column is renamed as _Service Instances_ and just the instance name and instance count of that service is displayed in a badge.
