| Jiri Konecny | 2023-07-17 09:13:39 UTC | Doc Text | Cause: Driver Disk Updates interactive feature is used. Consequence: Users do not see their inputs (what they type something) in the terminal output. They still see output of the application. Workaround (if any): Just ignore that you don't see the input. It's used even when not visible. Result: Bad user experience. Could be confusing because it could be seen as frozen application as it's not seems to be reacting on user input. However, it does react, just not giving users echo of their input. |

Could be confusing because it could be seen as frozen application as it's not seems to be reacting on user input. However, it does react, just not giving users echo of their input. | .Driver disk menu fails to display user inputs on the console When you start RHEL installation using the `inst.dd` option on the Kernel command line with a driver disk, the console fails to display the user input. Consequently, it appears that the application does not respond to the user input and freezes, but displays the output which is confusing for users. However, this behavior does not affect the functionality, and user input gets registered after pressing `Enter`. As a workaround, to see the expected results, ignore the absence of user inputs in the console and press `Enter` when you finish adding inputs. |
