I just ran rhn_register and it detected my IP as

I ran rhn_register again and got the same error. Here's what ifconfig

          inet addr: Bcast: Mask:
          RX packets:7118 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:6735 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          RX bytes:2981693 (2.8 Mb) TX bytes:891374 (870.4 Kb)

lo Link encap:Local Loopback
          inet addr: Mask:
          UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
          RX packets:6 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0

This is a result of the python code:

so, if /etc/hosts has the hostname resolving to, thats what
you will get.
