I have installed RHEL 5.3 in VMWare Workstation.  I finished the install and tried to run rhn_register.  Running rhn_register is what produces the error.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
After ensuring that the VMWare installation had a working Internet connection, I proceeded with rhn_register.  I got all the way through the Registering for software updates page, the Choose an update location page, the Enter your account information page, the Access a subscription page, then it hangs and finally produces an error message.  

Actual Results:  
The error message says "There was an error activating your number.  This error shouldn't have happened.  If you'd like to help us improve this program, please file a bug at bugzilla.redhat.com.  Including the relevant parts of '/var/log/up2date' would be very helpful.  Thanks!"

Expected Results:  
The registration/activation should have worked.  

The Internet connection was good, the Installation number was good (straight off the box).

The number you are showing seems fine, although it's very unlikely that
this is a client side issue (judging by the internal server error messages).
