Kernel not loading on this CPU

Description of problem:
I have many industrial machines using 32bit i586 Pentium MMX Intel Tillamook processors.
Fedora 13 Beta does not boot on those machines at all.

Please add the support for 32bit i586 CPU's back to Fedora.

Comment 1 Bill Nottingham 2010-05-12 16:21:56 UTC
It's expected that Fedora will not work on such a processor.

You are welcome to form a like-minded community that creates a secondary architecture for Fedora that runs on older CPUs. See
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Architectures for details.

Comment 2 Agroni 2010-05-12 17:39:17 UTC
But Fedora 11 works fine!

Comment 3 Jesse Keating 2010-05-12 18:11:42 UTC
Fedora 13 != Fedora 11. We have changed what arches we support.

Comment 4 Bill Nottingham 2010-05-12 20:23:31 UTC
This was a doucmented feature of Fedora 12, in fact:
