Description of problem:

<drago01> ajax: so if xrandr -s $something (no matter what $something is) fails on f20 using qxl (on a a vm) whom should I blame?
<drago01> ajax: where fails means "does not do anything"
<ajax> drago01: qxl driver is where i'd start blaming.

This is a mutter bug. It seems to for some reason reset the mode after it gets set.
