*********** MASS BUG UPDATE ************** We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 19 kernel bugs. Fedora 19 has now been rebased to 3.11.1-200.fc19. Please test this kernel update and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel. If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those. I just figured out that the blank screen comes from gnome 3 settings during gdm login screen. External monitor works but the login window is on the blank screen. During successful blind login entering gnome 3 session screen becomes correct. In gnome 3 I switched off ultrabook screen and just using external monitor. I really believe that gnome 3 session settings apply to gdm 3 login screen, even after reboot. How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. during installation main screen is the ultrabook internal monitor - don't touch anything even screen is allocated wrong. left-right side is wrong. 2. switch off internal monitor of ultrabook within gnome 3 3. reboot 3.11.1-200.fc19.x86_64 --> causes background on external monitor and invisible login window on internal display. Brightness doesn't matter. I just figured out that the screen toggle key works, now. So it won't hurt anymore. Now it's possible with the toggle to turn the screen on again. |
