Description Branden 2013-09-09 03:55:55 UTC
Description of problem:
Sometimes cloze cards will read blank even when they are not. Most of the time it can be fixed by editing the card.

Version-Release: 2.0.12

How reproducible:
Making enough cloze cards in anki one or more cards will sometimes be reported by anki as a blank card; and anki advises to go into tools->Empty cards and it finds the card even though it has content. It appears to be a Heisenbug also.

Steps to Reproduce:
(It seems to happen randomly, and then fixates on that one card even after a reload of the deck)
1. Make a mass amount of cards in a deck using cloze type
2. You will eventually find one.
3. It appears to be a Heisenbug, meaning editing the card can sometimes fix it.

Actual results:
Reads the cards as blank even though it is not. It appears to be a Heisenbug, meaning editing the card can sometimes fix it.

Expected results:
Show the card normally and reveal the back side.

Additional info:
It appears to be a Heisenbug.

Version: anki-2.0.12-1.fc19.noarch
Sorry I thought 2.0.12 was enough before.

Thank you for the bug report. I have tried to reproduce it, but as you already mentioned it does not happen very often and so I was unable to see the issue.

The best way to make sure your problem will get looked on is to report it to the authors of the program:

https://anki.tenderapp.com/discussion/new

Once you added the issue, please add the URL as comment to this bug report so that I can monitor it. If there is a patch available, I'll consider to create a new anki package which includes the bug fix.

Setting status to "CLOSED: INSUFFICIENT_DATA". If you still experience this problem after updating to our latest Fedora release and can provide the information previously requested, please feel free to reopen the bug report.
