Description Dusmant 2013-09-11 07:17:45 UTC
Description of problem: SWIFT feature was planned to be delivered in 3.3 time frame ( For RHSC Corbett release ). After it was reviewed by PM, it's decided to push out this feature to later release, which is beyond 3.3.

This bug is filed to track the change, so that the feature which is already in 3.3 branch can be deactivated. After this change, SWIFT service feature should not be visible in the UI of RHEV-M 3.3 release.

Original bug is : BZ 970491

Comment 1 Dusmant 2013-09-11 07:24:35 UTC
Sahina, Pls. deactivate the SWIFT feature in RHEV-M 3.3 release.

Comment 2 Sahina Bose 2013-09-11 09:19:10 UTC
Should this be deactivated upstream as well?

Comment 3 Sahina Bose 2013-11-21 06:26:40 UTC
Steps to verify:
UI
1. Ensure that there's no Gluster Swift sub-tab under Hosts.
2. Ensure there's no SWIFT service status in General sub-tab of Cluster
3. No events about swift related service in Events tab

Logs
1. Ensure there are no GlusterServicesList calls in /var/log/ovirt-engine/engine.log
2. On the node's vdsm logs, there should not be any servicesList calls.

Thanks Sahina for providing the steps for Verification.

Tested with Verified this with RHEVM 3.3.0-0.34.beta1.el6ev and glusterfs-3.4.0.44rhs-1. Tested the above steps and checked the same when gluster-swift was up and running.

Moving this bug as VERIFIED
