The idea is to have the split views with partial refreshes instead of refreshing the whole perspective. I've already checked with the UX team and they are ok with the change.

Hi Sona,
Your assumptions were right. Only Definitions, Instances and Task Lists were affected. All other perspectives doesn't have these type of split perspectives yet. 
I will be definitely adding the same approach for Jobs and Deployments, but that will be after the 6.0 release.

Works as expected for Process definitions and P. Instances. Contrary to comment 5, Tasks were unaffected by this, the Tasks perspective also works a bit differently, so no harm done I think.
