Description Vasiliy Glazov 2013-09-19 06:06:47 UTC
Why system-config-lvm was removed from Fedora?
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/system-config-lvm.git/

It was a very handy tool for working with LVM. And the only graphical tool for this.
Can I bring him back into the distribution? I can be a maintainer.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the s-c-lvm is getting more and more obsolete :/ encrypted volumes are much more usual even on desktop systems, only small amount of lvm is managable and s-c-lvm was written in time when lvm functionality was very limited. I will continue to fix major issues (so it won't crash if it met new features) for centos 5.x, 6.x - There are several emerging projects which should be able to replace at least on desktops.
