Description of problem:
1. Updated libreoffice packages
2. installed fonts both free and Non-free
3. start office, and select any font, 
4. crashes after sometime

I believe this is due to a patch in LibreOffice not being backported, let me dig it out.

So, that was not the case, the patch I had in mind already is included in libreoffice-3.6.7.2-3.fc18. I also could not reproduce a crash when selecting a font. If that happened regularly we would had many more reports of this. Does that really happen with any font or just some fonts? Anything that could narrow this down? For example, what font was selected and what font was active before that?

According to dso_list your ICU version is icu-49.1.1-8.fc18, please update to icu-49.1.1-10.fc18 and see if the crash still happens. IMHO updating should fix that.

Note that if you have any of the openttd, pyicu, fontmatrix, libreoffice or icu packages installed you will have to update them all together for that icu-49.1.1-10.fc18 related update, see https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/openttd-1.3.0-2.fc18,pyicu-1.4-2.fc18,fontmatrix-0.9.99-9.r1218.fc18,libreoffice-3.6.7.2-3.fc18,icu-49.1.1-10.fc18

Removed the Needinfo flag, as this issue no longer effects me.
