Description Paul Whalen 2013-09-25 14:43:43 UTC
Description of problem:
As of the 3.11 kernel the Pandaboard no longer boots the unified kernel. Attempted using the DTB and without. The issue seems to involve loading the
initramfs - when the kernel and dtb are used the kernel boots.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

3.11+

How reproducible:

everytime

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Boot Fedora 20 Alpha with the Pandaboard

Actual results:
System will display "Starting kernel ..' with no further output.

Expected results:
Fedora 20 Alpha

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************

We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 20 kernel bugs.

Fedora 20 has now been rebased to 3.13.4-200.fc20. Please test this kernel update and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.

If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

Comment 2 Peter Robinson 2014-03-11 00:15:26 UTC
So this is now booting with 3.14rc5 if you use an appended dtb to the kernel. We're looking at why this might not be working.

Comment 3 Peter Robinson 2014-03-14 00:39:50 UTC
Turns out this was a minor issue of a few uboot commands... just need to get the right ones :)
