We've never been able to resize them in writer Way to risky to do this for 6.5.0, punting to 6.6.0 and will investigate Fixed upstream as http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=1b717e5686f34c3ce798310a6216f7ea98fb2cd9 I'm against making this change now in RHEL-6 given that the side-effect is that the formulas don't auto-expand when their content changes which they used to do, which is more problematic than being able to manual resize them given the long history of being able to depend on autosize.
