Comment 2 Einav Cohen 2013-10-02 22:07:56 UTC
in our application, all of the dialogs (including the Guide Me) are modal (i.e. block interaction with the "parent" window until closed).
We need to define a docking/minimize behavior for a dialog, and then decide to which dialogs this behavior should be applied.

is this part of the changes planned in the gui re-haul?

we'll take it into consideration.

Still relevant with 4.2 new UI?

Yes, and currently impossible to fix because, as Einav said in comment 2, all dialogs are still modal.

We would like to become not so dialog-oriented. When that is achieved, this would be possible by using part of the page as a "dock", or perhaps by using the PatternFly wizard pattern.
