The BIRT reports are a powerful way to merge information from multiple sources, but are "yet another system" that most people have no reason to use.

The reports should be precompiled by DocBuilder, and displayed in the content spec list, as well as having reporting capabilities included in the individual documents themselves.

Some of this work has already been done: topic edits, adds and removed and licencing are all incorporated into the side menu in individual documents built by DocBuilder. However the information for these reports is regenerated each time the document is viewed. This is inefficient.

Ideally as documents are changed their reports should be generated by DocBuilder, with the information then exposed in the main list of documents, and in the documents themselves.
