Description Allie DeVolder 2013-10-03 15:08:43 UTC
1. Customer Name
Richard Davis (PGDS Ltd)

2. What is the nature and description of the request?
In the "Hosts" tab in the webui, we would like to have some sort of indicator showing which (if any) of the hypervisors are actively in the process of live-migrating VM load. Additionally, it would be nice to see an indication of if that is incoming or outgoing (or both) migration of workload.

3. Why does the customer need this? (List the business requirements here)
When carrying rolling upgrades of multiple hypervisors, it gives an indication of which hypervisors are busy in terms of migration work and should not be placed into maintenance mode required for upgrade. It is also nice to know which hosts/hypervisors are actively live-migrating workload.

4. How would the customer like to achieve this?
Additional columns in the "Hosts" tab to indicate which hypervisors are actively in the process of live-migrating VM workload. (Inbound / Outbound)

5. For each functional requirement listed in question 4, specify how Red Hat and the customer can test to confirm the requirement is successfully implemented.
Live migrate some VM's and check what is indicated in the webui

6. Is there already an existing RFE upstream or in Red Hat bugzilla?
No

7. How quickly does this need resolved?
3.3

8. List the affected packages
Unknown

9. Would the customer be able to assist in testing this functionality if implemented?
Absolutely.
