today's /var/log/messages
notice the problem doesn't occur when the system is started with mem=480M
just forgot: I did check for fauly memory with memtest86. No problems found. we've had a problem with this for a long time somehow it doesn't happen with the installed kernel usually, is that the case for you ? Florian, does this still happen? Hello, Florian. Is there still a problem with a more recent RHEL 3 kernel (such as U1 -- 2.4.21-9.EL)? Thanks. -ernie Closing due to lack of response. (In reply to comment #7) > Closing due to lack of response. Sorry. Somehow I didn't recieve the comments prior to the 'bug closed' message. The problem disappeared w/ more recent kernels.
