Description Matthew Garrett 2013-10-11 16:15:16 UTC
As described in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1017869 , abrt-applet needs to be restarted after abrt preferences are changed. There is no user-visible indication that this is true, so it appears to users that the settings changes are simply ignored.

Comment 1 Jakub Filak 2013-10-14 14:00:52 UTC
Thank you for the report. Which one of the following solutions is better from UX point of view?

- instantly apply the changes in configuration as you sate in bug #1017869 comment #7

- notify a user that abrt-applet needs to be restarted (and provide a way how to do this)

Comment 2 Matthew Garrett 2013-10-14 14:23:20 UTC
Instant application would be consistent with the rest of the desktop, and would remove the requirement for the "Apply" button in the UI.
