The fix for bug 1015131 means that changing the loan settings may affect the current user's ability to take an Automated system, as well as what they need to do to switch it to using direct provisioning rather than scheduled provisioning.

However, the UI doesn't currently automatically update to reflect the new state appropriately - the user may need to manually refresh the page to force the change in the loan status to be recognised.

This is really only a problem in the case where someone is loaning the system to themselves or returning their own loan - in the case of loaning the system to someone else, or returning someone else's loan, there isn't the same difference in the expected pre-update and post-update UI behaviour.
