The grub was missing the backup version after upgrading in uefi machines. This meant that backup boot entries were not created in the grub config. The backup entries are now correctly created.

No this issue in rhev-h 6.4.z, so it's a regression bug Test version:
ovirt-node-3.0.1-9.el6_5.noarch.rpm
rhevh-6.5-20131213.0.0.iso
Test as the follow steps:
1. Install rhevh-6.5-20131213.0.0.iso to uefi machine.
2. Upgrade rhevh to itself.
3. focus on grub.
Test results:
Gurb can save the backup version part after upgrade.

so this bug has been fixed, after the status of this bug changed into "ON_QA", i'll verify it.
According to comment 9, change it into "verified". This bug is currently attached to errata RHBA-2013:15277.
