Description Florian Weimer 2013-10-29 07:44:39 UTC
Description of problem:

After running Thunderbird for a while, the red squiggly lines that underline misspelled words disappear. Spell checking is still checked in the context menu, and disabling and enabling it again doesn't bring back the red lines. Restarting Thunderbird does, until the bug strikes again.

Invoking the spell-checking dialog still works, too.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

thunderbird-24.0-3.fc19.x86_64

How reproducible:

Unclear. Just running Thunderbird for a while does it for me.

Yes, we had the same issue in Firefox too. Added to thunderbird-24.2.0-4 package.
