File: dmesg
This crash happens without fail after a few hours (sometimes minutes) of runtime. If I run wargame: airland battle, it crashes within minutes. I've even had the screen go blank while in CLI. The only way I've managed to keep it from happening is by running nomodeset. I did a memtest, my ram has no errors. I'm running two AMD Radeon HD 6950's, and i'm having no problems on my windows side. Is this a problem with my setup? kernel: radeon 0000:01:00.0: GPU lockup CP stall for more than 10001msec kernel: radeon 0000:01:00.0: GPU lockup (waiting for 0x0000000000000405 last fence id 0x0000000000000403) kernel: BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at ffffc90411980ffc kernel: IP: [<ffffffffa00ebcd8>] radeon_ring_backup+0xc8/0x160 [radeon] kernel: PGD 1a9028067 PUD 0 kernel: Oops: 0000 [#1] SMP kernel: Modules linked in: fuse xt_CHECKSUM tun nls_utf8 cifs dns_resolver fscache nf_conntrack_netbios_ns nf_conntrack_broadcas kernel: snd ptp soundcore pps_core shpchp acpi_cpufreq mperf binfmt_misc uinput usb_storage radeon i2c_algo_bit drm_kms_helper firewire_ohci kernel: CPU: 1 PID: 1523 Comm: Xorg Not tainted 3.11.8-200.fc19.x86_64 #1 kernel: Hardware name: Dell Inc. Continues to crash within 2-30 minutes after boot up. Also using nomodeset as a work around for the time being. Has this been resolved yet? I haven't had an opportunity to really use my computer recently, so I was wondering if this bug has been fixed in fedora 20. (In reply to Marc Umbricht from comment #5) > Has this been resolved yet? I haven't had an opportunity to really use my > computer recently, so I was wondering if this bug has been fixed in fedora > 20. I'm still getting this error. Does anyone know what it is? This message is a reminder that Fedora 20 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 20. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '20'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 20 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete. Fedora 20 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2015-06-23. Fedora 20 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed. |
