Description Chao Yang 2013-11-14 09:56:49 UTC
Description of problem:
We actually support up to 160 CPUs while starting a qemu-kvm instance. But doc says the NO. is 255. Booting guest with CPUs greater than 160 leads core dumped.

The QEMU man page is about QEMU as a whole, not about specific machine-types (which may have lower limits), or about specific accelerator limits (KVM has lower limits), or about what Red Hat supports.

QEMU itself supports up to 255 CPUs, but KVM and the rhel machine-types don't.
