Description Ohad Basan 2013-11-20 10:41:39 UTC
Description of problem:

1.log into useportal
2. click on one of the vms that appear in the center of the screen.
3. vm jumps to the top of the page.
4. this behaviour is not consistent and is confusing

Comment 3 Ohad Basan 2013-11-20 10:45:24 UTC
I guess that this behaviour is caused by the vm properties window opening. but it would be nice if it could open up without messing up with the vm entry position

correct - if you select an item that is located at the bottom of the grid (i.e. the area that is being occupied with the details sub-tab panel upon grid-item selection), then the view must jump/scroll in order to have the selected item fully visible.

I agree. see attachment 827309 [details] for improvement suggestion.

Eldan/Malini: Thoughts?

[BTW - we should probably have the behavior consistent across all grids in the user portal and web admin)

Comment 6 Eldan Hildesheim 2013-11-24 11:09:00 UTC
Einav's improvement is he right solution.
Have nothing else to add :)

Comment 7 Alexander Wels 2013-11-25 20:51:06 UTC
As far as I can tell this behaviour is strictly in the user portal, the web-admin properly scrolls as indicated in the desired behaviour.

Comment 9 Einav Cohen 2014-09-30 18:13:56 UTC
after talking with Alexander: behavior is inconsistent across different scenarios and also across different browsers - will be extremely tricky to try and resolve, probably not worth the effort compared to the gained improvement. closing.
