Description Kat 2013-11-23 01:14:38 UTC
GNUcash leaked memory when saving a file, the bug was fixed in http://svn.gnucash.org/trac/changeset/22070, in the 2.5 branch, but has not yet been back-ported to 2.4

I have recently been using GNUcash heavily and this leak makes it unusable because it uses all the available memory and is then killed by the OOM killer.

I haven't tested the patch as I don't have enough space to install the development packages, but it should work.

Sorry, somehow ended up with DOS line breaks in the previous patch!

Made a mistake in the previous patch, this one actually built on koji: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=6237837

They're discussing upstream rolling up a 2.4.14 release that includes this and a couple of other fixes. If that comes out shortly, I'll fix this with that - if they decide not to do so, I can push an update with just this fix.
