This is working as designed. GNOME 3 is not giving individual applications control over this aspect of how the notifications are presented. Instead, more control is given to users, with the notification panel. As the notification specification says: Clients should try and avoid making assumptions about the presentation and abilities of the notification server. The message content is the most important thing. |
