Description Frank Paulick 2013-11-26 15:42:00 UTC
Description of problem:

when selecting more than 1 system and using SSM for subscribing to additional child channel, taks is created in SSM but has no servers associated to it
Task is not executed.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

2.0

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install Spacewalk 2.0
2.create Base and Child Channels
3.add systems to spacewalk
4. select 2 or more systems ,then select "channel membership" in SSM -> Choose unsubscribed channel for subscription -> Alter Subscription -> Change Subscriptions

Actual results:

Task is created but stays in "In Progress" with Message "No servers associated with this task"

Expected results:

all selected Systems should get the choosen channel subscribed

Hello Frank,

I also see the 'In Progress' task with message 'No servers associated with this task'. However the systems get correctly unsubscribed from the child channel.

Could you, please, make sure and let me know whether the channel memberships get changed or not?

Comment 3 Frank Paulick 2013-12-05 07:59:36 UTC
Hi Tomas,

i just tried it once again with 2 systems selected.
subscribing the 2 systems to an additional channel does not work
unsubscribing works

the subscribing task keeps staying in the task list as in progress with and no action is happening
the unsubscribing works as expected.

all tasks have the message "No Servers associated with this task"

Frank
