Description Eric Christensen 2013-11-29 18:02:37 UTC
Description of problem: OSM data isn't rendered in Xastir with the current version of ImageMagick.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 1:2.0.4-5

How reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Xastir
2. Select OSM map
3. Watch the download of tiles occur.

Actual results: Map screen remains unpopulated.

Expected results: Map shows.

Additional info: I recompiled Xastir using GraphicMagick-devel and the problem went away. According to a conversation I had on the Xastir user list (http://lists.xastir.org/pipermail/xastir/2013-November/021902.html) and it seems that sometimes ImageMagick won't render the files.

Same problem on F19.

Building against GraphicMagick fixes the problem also on F19 (tnx Eric).

Comment 3 Eric Christensen 2014-01-21 16:10:01 UTC
There is talk, upstream, of removing support for ImageMagick because they have so many problems with that solution. I suspect fixing this now would make it easier later.

Comment 4 Lucian Langa 2014-01-23 23:32:55 UTC
I was able to fully reproduce this.
As I mater fact, I do not remember being able to fully use OSM before.
Rawhide built against GM.
