Description Kevin Fenzi 2013-11-29 18:36:39 UTC
On updating to boost-1.54.0-6 today I see a bunch of:

/sbin/ldconfig: /lib64/libboost_thread.so is not an ELF file - it has the wrong magic bytes at the start.

in yum output. and indeed, that file is just a text file.

Should it really be called a .so? I guess ld will use it properly, but perhaps ldconfig could be taught to not emit this message on ldconfig then?
