Description of problem: This may have been fixed already.  I tried to do an
install from the Xfce spin CD ROM for F19 i386.  The disk has Windows on
/dev/sda1 and I had partitioned /dev/sda2, /dev/sda3, and /dev/sda5 to use
in the new installation.  Choosing the manual option for disk partitions.
Shows "Unknown" with all the partitions on the disk.  I selected one of them
to make it a partition on the new system.  Couldn't do anything with it - the
right hand side of the pane is all grayed out.  The help screen says there 
is supposed to be a button to change the selected partition, but it ain't there.
I was able to work around it by first doing a mke2fs on the partitions -
then it let me select and change them.

This appears to be working in F20, though I don't know if anything has actually changed for this case. To use an unformatted partition, you first need to check the "reformat" box and then select a filesystem type, and after that you can set a mount point. The reason for this is that when we see a partition without a recognizable filesystem, we assume that there may be data but that we don't know what it is, which is why the filesystem type is initially set to "unknown"
