Another user experienced a similar problem: I tried to return from a hibernate mode and I was able to see a blank screen. It took about 10sec and moved directly into an open window. I was unable to anything about it so I closed my laptop lid to force hibernate. I came back to the working condition showing the presence of a bug reporter: libreport-2.1.10 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: /usr/bin/gnome-shell crash_function: real_assign_crtcs executable: /usr/bin/gnome-shell kernel: 3.12.5-302.fc20.x86_64 package: gnome-shell-3.10.2.1-3.fc20 reason: gnome-shell killed by SIGSEGV runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000 Another user experienced a similar problem: I was closing a java application reporter: libreport-2.1.10 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: /usr/bin/gnome-shell crash_function: real_assign_crtcs executable: /usr/bin/gnome-shell kernel: 3.12.5-302.fc20.x86_64 package: gnome-shell-3.10.2.1-3.fc20 reason: gnome-shell killed by SIGSEGV runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000 Filed upstream. Thas has been fixed upstream a month ago, but I couldn't find any release information. The relevant patches are in bgo#725637. Maybe we can get them included in Fedora's Shell as long as GNOME has no new release? I'm sorry, the patches are available at [1] https://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=276012 [2] https://bugzilla.gnome.org/attachment.cgi?id=276014 Does not care for going into suspend with 2nd monitor plugged into laptop. |
