Here is the output from rhevm-setup which shows the WebSocket Proxy question. This provides justification for why the documentation should be updated in section 3.5, bullet point #7. An administrator that is following the installation guide will become confused at this point.

Hi John, Thank you for raising this bug. The content of this bug has been addressed as part of Bug #1062795. I have added you to the cc list for that for future reference. Further contact will be held in that bug; closing. Kind regards, Andrew *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 1062795 *** |
Title: Configuring WebSocket Proxy -- a component of Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager Describe the issue: One of the questions asked by the 'rhevm-setup' interactive script prompts the user to configure WebSocket Proxy. The RHEV 3.3 Installation Guide does not mention anything about "WebSocket Proxy". A new user of RHEV (or somebody unfamiliar with the product) is unable to make an informed decision about whether or not to allow this configuration. Suggestions for improvement: A brief description of this feature should be included in section 3.5, at bullet point #7. For example, What is this feature? What does it do? Why would I choose to install it? Perhaps we should provide a link to a diagram similar to the one at https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux_OpenStack_Platform/4-Beta/html/Configuration_Reference_Guide/remote-console-access.html Additional information: This appears to have been debated earlier at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1000049#c5
